Release show sometime in September, coming soon!

Well, we had hoped for a release in August but it seems that school and trying to find a show have proven worthy obstacles. However, there is good news. Hopefully we will soon announce a date for the "Portmanteau" release show at the Icehouse here in Lexington. We're all very excited about this and we're hoping to make it into a lot of fun. We should also have our very first run of t-shirts too.

Our new/first full-length record is finally finished! The record is tentatively titled, "Portmanteau" and has 10 tracks. This is our most ambitious composing and recording so far and I think everyone is very happy with how it turned out. I'll put up some preview tracks soon and make sure to check our myspace to stream a few full tracks.

We're currently sending the record out to see if anyone is interested but we're also planning on an August self-release in Lexington, Ky. More coming soon.

Just a quick update for everyone. We've got most everything down except for the vocals, which are coming along nicely. Hopefully within the next few days we'll get into the "mastering" phase which basically means we'll be messing around with the volume and eq on the computer for a long time. More soon hopefully.

The drum tracks are all done! :) We had to start from scratch on some of the tracks (My attempts to stay on tempo were not all decent) but once we re-record the guitar and vocal tracks for those songs we'll have everything we need to build it up; add: bass, banjo, electric guitar, melodica, trumpet, xylophone, etc.

Also, here's a concept for Album art, and a possible name, "Portmanteau".

As of now we have the basic guitar and stand-in vocal parts for all 10 songs. Next it's a matter of getting the drums in there, likely the most difficult and time consuming part of the record, so it'll have to wait until after finals! I'll let you guys know what happens.

Today marks the start of recording for our first full-length record. We're very excited; at least I know I am. So far we've got down 5 rhythm guitar parts and one accordion part, I'll keep you updated.

I thought I'd give you guys something since there's no title or artwork yet.
